Plagiarism Policy

The authors should ensure that they have submitted an original manuscript to JAILT. It is the author's or authors' responsibility to cite or quote other researchers’ work appropriately.

The journal recommends that authors use plagiarism detection tools to check their work for plagiarism.

Before the blind-review process, the editors check all manuscripts for plagiarism using plagiarism detection tools. Manuscripts having problems with plagiarism are returned to the authors, and necessary actions are taken immediately. The editors have the right to remove already published manuscripts if they discover problems regarding plagiarism.

Generative AI Use
The author may not use generative AI and other AI technologies to create datasets, analyze and evaluate data. The use of such artificial intelligence technologies is limited only to correcting language spelling and improving readability. Apart from this, in cases identified, all responsibility belongs to the author and necessary precautions will be taken.
Responsible Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (Generative AI)

Generative Artificial Intelligence (Generative AI) tools can support scholarly communication when used responsibly, transparently, and in accordance with established research ethics. The journal recognizes the potential benefits of such tools while emphasizing that accountability for all scholarly content remains entirely with human contributors. The following principles outline acceptable and ethical uses of generative AI for authors, reviewers, and editors:

For Authors
Authors may use generative AI tools to support language editing, grammar correction, readability improvement, or formatting assistance. However, Generative AI must not be used to generate original scientific content, research ideas, hypotheses, data, analyses, results, or conclusions.

Authors are fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, and integrity of their manuscripts. Any use of generative AI tools must be disclosed transparently in the manuscript, specifying the purpose and scope of use. Generative AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors, as they do not meet authorship criteria and cannot take responsibility for the work.

For Reviewers
Reviewers must not upload manuscripts or any part of them to generative AI tools that store, reuse, or process content externally, as this may compromise confidentiality and intellectual property rights.

Generative AI may be used in a limited manner to assist with language refinement of review reports or to structure feedback, provided that no confidential manuscript content is shared. Reviewers remain solely responsible for the scientific judgment, critical evaluation, and recommendations provided in their reviews.

For Editors
Editors may use Generative AI tools to support administrative tasks, such as drafting routine communications, summarizing reviewer comments, or improving clarity in editorial correspondence. Generative AI must not be used as a substitute for editorial decision-making, ethical judgment, or policy enforcement.

All editorial decisions—including acceptance, revision, or rejection—must be made by human editors. Editors are responsible for ensuring that generative AI use aligns with principles of confidentiality, fairness, transparency, and academic integrity.

JAILT is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical publishing and will continue to monitor developments in generative AI to update policies as necessary.
